The Tears of a Clown

Much more in the mood for a wander up to the Royal Mile today, and wound up standing for a while on a concrete bollard, inexplicably without some arts student occupying it to shout about his show and hand out flyers (I'm getting good at not being handed any), shooting the street and various acts, then heard an unmistakeable low to my right and found Gyles Brandreth conducting an interview just below me (extra shot).

Got to love Edinburgh in August. First show tomorrow night.

Evening saw interruptions for work, spotting foxes (very early visit, with shots possible on the phone with it a yard away; mid-evening visit with two being chased form the garden by Fred, watched by Isla, who later whacked him on the head so clearly unimpressed; then late evening for my usual lit-by-the-security-light portrait), and wondering about going out to shoot the Perseids from somewhere with a nice open outlook.

Over the hump.
