Plus ça change...

Number 19

Another sewing shot.  I had very good intentions of going outside to find a flower or a bug or something but it was really far too hot.  Today's excitement was discovering a stitch on my sewing machine that is just the business for stretch fabrics (number 19, obviously).  Today TallGirl had one of my blouses and a dress adapted for her size.  And much planning and purchasing of thread for the next few projects.

The sewing bug attacks me relatively rarely, so I take full advantage when it is here.

CarbBoy had a very sociable day: morning run with NeighbourBoy, afternoon at a pool with NeighbourBoy, evening at the cinema with NeighbourBoy.  I should just note that this boy is one of the ones who was bullying CarbBoy a few years ago, so this turnaround is being closely watched...

Meanwhile, TallGirl and I watched the final episode of Pride and Prejudice, and have booked in another 'movie night' tomorrow (CarbBoy will be on a sleepover) with Bridget Jones.  We were talking about women in the P and P era, and she was commenting that all they seem to do is pick flowers, sew and learn musical instruments.  "Bit like you, Mammy".  Hmmm.  Tomorrow I will have to do something intellectual (VAT bill?) and something DIYish (repairing the floor in the dining room?) for balance.

And I will definitely have to do something about this turning into a sewing blog.
