The English Year

One of my favourite books, highlighting just how bonkers the English really are. August sees us celebrating Grotto Day, the Knighthood of the Village Green, Minden Day, Kit Dressing, Tutbury Bull-Running, St Roch's Day, Sandwich Bun Race, Sparrow Mumbling, Plague Sunday & Marldon Apple Pie Fair .... to name just a few.
