Unexpected creature in my lake

I've fallen in love with my camera again, thanks to Deb.   I had so much fun just watching the play of light over the waves and the lake bottom....and was happy to find this little octopus-like image when I open this photo! 
I should have waited until Abstract Thursday....but my lake will still be there tomorrow.

Today is my lovely daughter's birthday...of all the people I have ever known, she is the one I strive to emulate.
