Following Sunday's crumpled version, a much fresher, healthier looking Small Tortoiseshell from the "Big Field" in Shipley.

By the time I got there on my way home from work the clouds had gathered so a few Small Torts and a single Small Skipper were all that I saw on the wing. I expect the Marbled Whites have finished for the year but I'd still expect to see some Meadow Browns and Ringlets.

And where have all the Peacocks gone?
