Taking Flight

I had the opportunity to attend the wedding of a niece today and so didn't go to work.

Since the wedding wasn't until later in the afternoon, I was able to take an early morning stroll in the wetlands and watch about 40 pelicans take flight from their morning feeding.

I love how graceful these birds can be.
