Jojoba

I didn't realize that the jojoba plant grew here in the Sonoran Desert.  We were on our morning walk and met up with some neighbors who told us about this plant.   It produces nuts which are eaten by many kinds of animals, like rodents and rabbits, as well as birds.  We ate one and it was edible (though slightly bitter).  Who knew that we could eat a free breakfast on our morning walk.
