A day of two halves
At 5:30 this morning after carrying and rocking little un for over an hour, with her going into meltdown if I tried to sit or lean against anything... I was very much at the end of my tether... then all of a sudden she stops crying and decides it's time to be awake now... it was not a good start to the day...
But this afternoon she's been a little star... We nipped out and bought her some Peppa Pig wellies and headed off to the beach. It was her first time at the seaside, she was very comical and slightly uncertain about walking on the sand, but once she warmed up, she was soon charging along... we also went down to splash a little bit at the waters edge... She was a touch uncertain about the sea, but really curious about the more seasoned and hardened kids, who were running in and out of the water up to their waists... She's also been chattering away this evening, she made us both laugh at teatime, with her version of the 'double take brothers' when presented with a yoghurt... this is the bit that is lovely because we're getting to see much more of her personality, which makes everything worthwhile...
If only she'd wash and sleep...
