On the Royal Mile

Went up town to go and hear a photography lecture at the National Gallery - a brief history of Fashion Photography given by Susanna Brown, Curator of Photographs at the V&A in London. Some familiar stuff, but also one or two new names to look out for, as well as some prompts to look again at some of the past masters. Afterwards went up to the Royal Mile for a bit of Fringe madness. So many people out there promoting their shows. This young woman was dancing along to the oriental drummers behind her, as she balanced on one of the Royal Mile bollards, so favoured by performers at this time of year! I looked them up later and she is a member of Minotaur Theatre from UEA, down in Norwich and their show is called Animal House. I believe she is "Bat", guessing from the cast list and her costume!
