Surprise View!

Surprise view, near Ashness Bridge, gives a wonderful vista of Derwentwater. In the background you can see Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite too!

We walked from here along the hanging valley to Watendlath and back. ( Two and a half hours round trip. ) The tea and rock cakes at Watendlath went down a treat!
