Shaking Table

The U3A Camera Group had there field trip this week to King Edward Mine Museum. It was a very interesting visit, as we had a guided tour around. I did know something about the mines down here, but I feel I have learned a lot today about what went on in the past.

This is part of a shaking table, in this image it has water running over it, when it was in operation it would have the water and ore over it and the tin would be separated from the ore by the table shaking.
