Boots are made for walking.

Just a speedy one from me. Back from setting up our wedding venue. These are our centre pieces lol. I love them!

The title of the blip is for the centre pieces and out little toddler related drama today. We were loading the stuff to take to the venue. J was on the drive focusing on that and I went inside to check we'd not left anything behind. 30 seconds later L was nowhere to be seen. I checked the house, not there, checked all the bushes, not there either. I frantically started calling neighbours to help but as the minutes rolled by I was really losing my composure. She had seemed to have vanished. By this point I was convinced she must have been taken because she was out of sight too quickly. We rang the police who came to search for her while I drove round desperately trying to find her or get help. With what seemed like a life time J rang and said the police had her. I was so scared at this point I didn't want to stop searching for her in case the toddler they'd found wasn't our L and I could risk loosing any more valuable minutes. I didn't know what I'd find when I was reunited with her as all sorts was running through my mind. Cars... Bad people.... Luckily a neighbour rang and said she'd seen her with a couple and the police and told me where they were. After a description of 'a toddler in a duck cardigan and some pink wellies' I knew it was her haha!

I ran up the hill and found her, without a mark on her. Hysterical and sobbing, I think L was wondering what all the fuss was about but she gave me a hug anyway. She'd walked a fair way from home, crossed some roads and was heading in the direction of her sisters school.

I'm still reliving it now. Those moments were awful. I am so lucky and thankful to have her home. And I won't be letting her out of her cage again any time soon!

Anyway, enough of that. Lessons learned and all that jazz.

Wedding in the morning. See you on the other side xx
