Tonight is our last evening with Kathi and Jack, and so we went out onto the dock to send off a "wish lantern"......the guys are holding it in place (after I lit the flammable part beneath it) until it fills with enough hot air from the fire to lift off.  Then we watched it until it was far away and it flickered out of sight.  I'd love to do this sometime with about 50 people doing them at the same time.....it would be magical, but this was magic enough for the last evening memory with our friends from California.  Extra photo is when it was floating away...
