Workin the Wings

A couple times a week, I drive down a road called Fish Lake Rd. If there is a Fish Lake, I don't know where it is.

4-5 times in a certain area...I've spotted this turkey vulture. It must be his hunting grounds. He was soaring overhead...maybe hoping I would run over something for him. I glanced to my left, and I glanced to my right...hoping a cat would come into my sight. (A little joke for the cat-lovers.)

I couldn't help the flying hunter. Nothing to run over. As I was about to get back in my van...he landed on the telephone pole, and started this wing action.

Who does he think he is...a cormorant? A big blue heron? Only the pretty birds stretch their wings out like that. Not an ugly turkey vulture.

I finished the book Seabiscuit, so I left the vulture in search of horses. I found some, and they are on my flickr page...along with some flies of the butter and dragon varieties, and an old tow truck.

Hope everybody has a great weekend.I wish the light would have framed this guy better, because he is pretty back-lit. LARGE might be just a bit better.
