An experiment

At the charity shop where I work we get a lot of jewellery donated but we have difficulty displaying it adequately. I came up with the bright idea of taking some of the bits that hadn't sold in the shop off to a car boot sale.
I had visions of customers beating their way to the stall to buy all these lovely items now that they could see them properly.
How wrong was I? After deducting the pitch money I made £6 :(
We wont be repeating the experiment.
