MonoMonday - Work
I started my working life off as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a Cancer hospital and later trained in Ultrasound. This proved to be a great move as, after specialising in Obs and Gynae US, I worked for 2 years in Saudi Arabia then worked for myself as a locum sonographer based in Melbourne. I was lucky to work in rural Victoria as well as Perth, Canberra, Wagga Wagga, and Christchurch, New Zealand. I was finally talked into becoming an employee at one of the Womens ultrasound clinics that I did regular sessions for. I worked there until I moved to Austria, returning to do some sessions there when I went back to Australia at Christmas.
I had made some scale figures of out of Fimo to show patients the actual size of the foetus when scanning them. At my ceramics course last week I made this little model of a foetus to remind me of the work that I loved. The extra shows the glaze in colour.
Thanks to TheAphid for hosting MonoMonday this month.
