storm survivor

We had a tremendous storm last night. It started at midnight with three hours of lightning that was so bright and frequent that I awoke thinking an emergency vehicle was outside our window. Finally the thunder came and then a mighty torrent of rain for the fourth hour.
And yet, this hibiscus looks as cheery as ever!
