How walls should be.
All over the village we have stone walls. Fences and hedges are rare.
The walls are a pleasure to look at because most have tiny plants growing in the cracks.
Here are White Stonecrop ( Sedum album) and Maidenhair Fern ( Asplenium trichomanes) growing happily together and looking better than if they were on their own.
Peaceful here now but it was a wonderful weekend with our Canadian relatives here.
