Something new

Due to the fact that my blanket obsession has got a little out of hand - and the Mr has banned me from making anymore for myself, I have embarked on a new type of project.
A project and make that is for a friend on her request.
She's asked me for some time now to make her a blanket but I've always said no as my crocheting has only ever been a hobby and for myself. But with some encouragement I've decided to do it... She sent me some pics of things she likes and ideas, and this is my sample.
I'm really pleased with it to be honest.
Something a little different for the rest of the summer.
