Valletta

This is Strait Street in Valletta - last century famous as a street favoured by the many sailors who called to visit the ladies who worked here. There are some amazing black and white photos around of life at that time. Now it's been rehabilitated and is the home of many restaurants and wine bars. It's a beautiful long street, the length of the city with lots of traditional Maltese balconies. The hills here are amazing, hard work getting from one end of a street to another as it follows the natural contours.
