Rosehip fireworks

We were in Holland this weekend and had another session of gardening with the whole family. One side of the garden borders on a tiny public path and has this border of dog roses, which are right now filled with ripening rosehips. Unfortunately there are also a lot of weeds including rather big thistles who are spreading their seed-fluff before long. I managed to deadhead most of them without getting scratched too much and saw this seed hanging on a rosehip, both with a starry shape. And this made me think of fireworks (hoping to see some of Singapore's celebratory fireworks today on YouTube or the likes, Happy 50th Birthday Singapore !!).
