Naughty youngsters
Having a leisurely morning, well the first cup of tea was being drank a little later than normal and ring goes the phone. A neighbour from down the road, our young cattle have escaped onto the beach. We packed up the dogs and headed down just in time to catch him trying to get 3 of them out of their silage field which they had jumped into. Well more like hopped as the previous night the neighbours own cattle had come down and knocked over the fence first and this is probably what drew out our crowd. Anyway I strolled up to them with an empty feed bag and they come wandering over like I had just fed them yesterday. Husband chatted with the neighbour whilst I put them back onto our ground. Then we let the dogs out and I had all nine dogs with me as I walked the cattle to the other side of this land and away. The neighbour said he saw them come round a wee bay at low tide. Im hoping they wont do it again as we have already put up some fences down there to stop them.
I then took the dogs back the long way home. They enjoyed their long walk and once we are back I took to relaxing with good book! Husband went on to the farm where we manage the livestock to move the baled silage off the fields and stack it.
15c 3mph SSE rain showers and low mist in the morning drying up in the afternoon with a hint of sunshine.
