Priority

Welcome to the Netherlands – where bikes have priority over seated people (see symbol upper right corner). This rule was actually applied just a minute ago, when a woman sent two seated elderly people away from their seats to park her bike. The train was so full that there was nowhere else for them to sit – this can’t be how the rule is to be used, is it? Anyway, this background story aside, this is quite a nice Dutch ‘tafereeltje’ with the view and all. Something I haven’t seen in a long while!
 

Today was a fun day. It started with picking my parents up from Schiphol. Funny situation - me traveling to Schiphol with all my luggage but not going anywhere. Also, we got introduced to these phones with which you can call people in the luggage belt area, great way to get in touch and coordinate (see extra pic 2) In the evening I went for drinks and catching up with friends in Maastricht in the eveningJ . Lovely people and city as ever (See extra pic 1)
