Festival!

Did not swim but did bus and walk to the flat to pick up the accounts from C. That will be a holiday task.

Found out we were on Plan C with L. Did my grocery shopping then faffed with the printer.

Met L at station and we fought our way up Cockburn St, stopping for coffee on the way. I was 10 minutes out for the first show, All the King's Men @ Venue 34. Excellent with a loyal following. Icons, L thought.

Then a slow walk to the Sheraton for cocktails and our 'meal deal'. It was also excellent.

Joined the throngs to cross the road and climb to the gods. I'd forgotten how high the Usher Hall is. Concert was really good with a drink in the interval. I loved the Stratus. L wasn't so keen and we could have done without the Tattoo fireworks in the quiet violin section.

Home, tea, chat, bed, book and the midnight fireworks.
