Kerr Bay in Snow

Now there is a family story about Kerr Bay...the land used to be part of one big station owned by one John Kerr (my husband's Great x several grandfather). The local historians say that this bay at Lake Rotoiti is named after him because he populated the lake with fish.

However, we've always been told that he drowned in the lake after a few too many pints, and fell in the lake when he tried to have a wee over the side of the boat.

Anyway, I drove down to the lake to get some shots of the snow; very cold!
