The Fruit of My Youth
These are not your grocery store variety apricots, but those grown in Geneva, New York, U.S.A. from a family run orchard.
Called "Red Jackets," they are the result of over 40 years of cultivation.
I love apricots.
My grandmother used to grow them, and one of her former trees produced fruit until a few years ago.
Apricots are loved by Armenian people, and I am no exception.
Nothing reminds me more of my youth than this summer fruit.
Small, sweet, and juicy.
