We had a family outing to stock car racing in Cowdenbeath this evening, partly to let them see there is a world beyond the computer and they enjoyed themselves after they got used to the noise. It's something my husband and son do occasionally.  I hadn't been before and I was surprised at how family orientated the event was; lots of dads and granddads with young children and several mums and girlfriends too.  There were several exciting races with a few bumps, but luckily no serious accidents.  There were so many children there it gave me the impression that there would rarely be a serious accident.
