Saturday: Brother And Sister

It was a funny old day today.  For the last few weeks, K. and her brother, J., have had a lot of practicalities to take care of, and then today, virtually nothing.

We went for a walk this afternoon in Sefton Park and then this evening we headed into town.  We were abstemious in the sense that we opted for half pints wherever we were but we went to Peter Kavanagh's, The Blackburne Arms, The Caledonia, The Belvedere, Ye Cracke (where we walked out as there was nothing decent on tap), the  Kirkland (too achingly trendy for us), then for a good authentic Chinese, followed by a final half in The Grapes.  We all said that none of the beers really impressed us, but I admire out fortitude in keeping going.
