FOQ @ NEC

A trip up the M40/M42 early this morning to the NEC at Birmingham to attend the Festival Of Quilts. After the 2 hour journey, a coffee to re-charge the batteries, we headed into the main halls. They were packed with many stalls wanting to sell you fabric, sewing machines, gadgets, tools, thread, wadding etc plus the opportunity to have a go at machine quilting on some very expensive machines. In addition, there was a great display of some stunning quilts (some seen here), from international applications. Met up for lunch with my cousin and a group of friends (to share our purchases), before heading back in for a second bite! Back home by 7pm.
