Shadow Wings

Seems more substantial,
the butterfly's dark shadow,
than the thing itself.

Today we have a deep blue, cloudless sky. I've spent much of the day gardening and the bin is almost full of 99% brambles and 1% ivy. It's an endless battle with these two inaccessible invaders.

It's warm. It's summery. It's what we've been waiting for.
