Going out for a drive

Had a really super service at church this morning, and finally did a bit of an essentials shop.

Took rachelwhynot on a desert drive, heading to the northern emirate of Ras Al Khaimah where you see tall red dunes. We ended up at the Waldorf Astoria for afternoon tea (see extras).

Then driving back, stopped very quickly to get this shot... people enjoying the beach in the cool of the day. The sun had gone down and it was starting to get dark. Seems like a good time to have a little swim. Drove past the salt flats of Umm Al Quwain but it was too dark to get pictures there. Another time... I have to thank rwn for allowing me to use this as she captured it from her side of the car!

Tried to watch a DVD later but I kept falling asleep!  :(
