Last Laugh (Story 1 Continued)

It has been quiet for far too long. I began to realise that he would not come out of the car. He has some sort of counter plan I thought, but I would not fall for it. I ducked so that I could not be shot at by him, if he fired a bullet through the window. I ordered my team to fire at all windows of the car, to get rid of his hiding place.
The windows shattered all at once. Now, there was no way out for this man. If he exited the car with the intention to shoot someone, then we would easily kill him first. If he stayed in the car I could force him out and arrest him; he wouldn't dare shoot me because he would also immediately be shot.
He either did not notice that he had no options left, or he would still not give in to us, so I yanked open the door quickly.
Don't overestimate the sanity and logic of criminals. I should have known that it wouldn't ever work, and once I fell onto the hard concrete of the car park, and noticed blood soaking through my clothes, I would not ever forget it. Too bad I would never get a chance to do anything like this again. As my body grew colder and my eyes heavier, I did the last thing I could; with my shaking hand I fired my gun, and the bullet hit the man just above the nose.
