Shakespeare in the park

I've just returned from an open-air production of 'The Taming of the shrew' at our local manor house grounds, Gt Linford park in Milton Keynes.
The interpretation was part Shakespeare part panto with the main female characters played by men and the main male characters played by women. It gave quite a different feeling to the play!
