Europe trip: Nice, France

Plain and simple picture of the sea. I loved the breeze, the sparkling water, and the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore.

After sitting and relaxing for a while, I got up and walked towards the water. I stood too close to the edge, so when the waves came in, my shoes and socks were drenched... My friend took a picture of me and my soaked socks and shoes and titled it "Defeated by the Waves". XD

PS: Has anyone watched the movie "Mr. Bean's Holiday"? Every so often when I'm at a beach, the song "La Mer" starts playing in my head. :)

I took this in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a commune (~municipality) in southeastern France, close to Nice. It was a beautiful little village, surrounded (fortified) by a stone wall. There was stone architecture everywhere. The buildings were very close together, and the streets were narrow. Cozy. :)  The village is very old, dating back to the medieval times. @-@
