Dare to be Different

My entry in Flower Friday, from a local riverside park.

I wanted to title it...In a Sea of Daisies, Be a Conehead, but I thought that would be over the top.

I forgot to give a sports report about my golfing outing with my son yesterday. My "game" was beyond bad. It was terrible, appalling, horrible, ghastly, disastrous, atrocious, disturbing, and just plain lousy. I think I lost 8 golf balls, AND WE ONLY PLAYED NINE HOLES!!! If that wasn't bad enough...I WHIFFED...TWICE!!!

Jeff played pretty good, and it was nice to be with him, and to be out in nature...but I need to step back and examine what is left of my life on the links. I think I need to get out more than once a year (lessons maybe?), or hang up the clubs.

I have to start a de-tox,
of my habits in the tee box.

I'm so far from par,
that I can't even see the bar.

I think my golf sweet spot,
now amounts to diddly-squat.

How can I overlook...
my off-the-course duck hook?

What can I do with my swing...
to make it right...to sing?

8 golf balls that I'll never get back...
maybe...I've...turned...into...a...hack.

OK...THAT'S ENOUGH!!!
