Morning Glow
I was hoping that this morning it would be sunny and glorious so that I could take a photograph that was representative of my emotions today. However, I was disappointed to find a dreary, foggy morning awaiting. It was almost as though nothing had changed after Obama's election! It took me some time to swallow it, but after much reflection, I came to the following conclusion:
I find it appropriate that this time of hope and change lands during the fall.
It may seem contradictory, but really it brings us back to what Obama said in his speech- that the end of the campaign doesn't signify the end of the struggle. Rather, it signifies the beginning. The beginning of growing pains, of a people finally tackling its problems instead of ignoring them.
We're in dark times now, and we have a big mess to clean up.
Personally, I'm up for the challenge.
