Hot summer days

An early start to avoid the hottest part of the day was definitely a good call, as we set off with friends to cycle up another of the local passes. Today's route took up up the Julierpass which is the road leading to Chur from the engadin valley. See extra to catch MalcolmsEye on his last push.
The afternoon was spent lounging in the shade on our patio in temperatures of 30 degree Celsius and looking at all the insects which were attracted to our lavender plants, including this lovely white butterfly (which I don't know the name of but I'm sure someone will help me out).
