Waiting for summer

Well, we had a few hours of sunshine this afternoon and we managed to sit out in the garden with some friends but it soon turned chilly.

Well, its Edinburgh International Festival time, notorious for bad weather, so its par for the course.

Mention summer and folk burst out laughing :"What summer?"
Now an email has just popped into my mailbox from my friend house sitting in the Caribbean. See extra photo. Grrr...
