Three Castles Head
After time spent grooming and washing manes of the ponies and generally bonding. Rosie and I headed out for a bit of mum and daughter time. First a wonder around the headland near Dunmanus castle, where there is a fantastic sea arch. Then on to Three Castles Head, the weather was perfect, the location stunning, on the site of what was a promontory fort, on the edge of a lake, with high cliffs to the rear, this is one of my favourite sites in West Cork! please do take a peep at my extra images.
A swim was called for, the water was freezing at Stoney beach but we jumped over the waves and eventually took the plunge! We passed some cows also in need of cooling off, also in my extra pictures!
