The pond at the bottom of the garden

I happened to wander down the bottom of the garden to find the small pond there - a tub with water - has an iris in flower.

Two old boys from the flats there were leaning on the fence discussing the world and I spent some time chatting to them.

They asked me if those were bee boxes because they had seen bees going in. I am delighted to hear that as I hadn't seen any round the boxes.

Life is good when the bees are buzzing about the garden.
