A view from a Scot

A view of Falkirk

It has been many years since I was last in the area; and it does seem as if some things have changed and others have stayed the same.

I had walked through the town from the bus station to Grahamston Station. A great many changes have taken place. The high street is pedestrianised and there are many memorials highlighted.

I have to admit that the one change that brought back so many memories was that as a child I had been with my parents standing on a bridge which crossed from an open car park into the shopping area. The reason for being there was to watch the parade of the performers of Billy Smart's Circus. I think it was their last tour.

The bridge is now covered and glazed in - very modern and needed I am sure.
