Ripe for the Picking
With the sky so blue, temperatures in the high teens and our neighbours' elm trees budding, you could be fooled into thinking that Spring was here.
As I was out in the garden, I noted this kereru high in one of the elms, feeding on the buds, so grabbed my adapted Pentax 400mm lens (ignore the 12mm on the metadata - I forgot to change the setting on the Fuji) and chucked it on the X-T1 to get this shot of the cheeky chap mid-picking.
I'm heading out to shoot some more stars shortly, but if you can't wait for more, check out last night's Milky Way shot over the Forest. I didn't post it up until half-past late, so you may have missed it.
