Sandhill Skipper
I spent the most heavenly day weeding my garden. The wildflower garden is now tidy, the herb garden is coming along, and the vegetable garden is beginning to have baby plants peeking their heads out of the ground. The raspberry patch is almost weed-free, and I'm tired!
There were butterflies on the wildflowers today. I think this one is a Sandhill Skipper. It could be a Common Branded Skipper or a Juba Skipper--they are hard to tell apart! He/she is feasting on Sweet Williams! I love to see the proboscis working away! There were several butterflies, all fighting for dominance of the flowers. It was so fun to watch!
