Some problems!
Thanks for supportive chatting yesterday. My Dad who now is adapting into open dementia home, has made a second runaway trip today. This time he was two hours missing in the middle of the day, and was found by the policemen.
He had walked some three kilometers to the nearest hospital, and searched his car from the yard. Did not find it of course, as he has no car anymore, and someone had called the police to help in the "robbery". Well, the policemen came and checked his ID and discovered that he has neither a car nor a driving licence... So my dad was picked up by the policemen and in the end had been escorted back into the dementia home.
I visited him shortly in the evening. Only to find him walking on the street again, outside the dementia home! Fortunately I found him on the street and he obeyed me and went indoors waiting, as I told him to.
He did not mention the trip earlier today at all.
In the evening he had tried to go to the supermarket nearby. But did not tell nurses. He would have been again a runaway in few minutes... There is some issue to learn/ to remember.
So I picked some groceries for him and teached him (again) the dementia home rules, and how to inform nurses if he likes to visit the market, and he learned how to use phone for nurses... I am so sure that none of these things will stay in his memory.
Otherwise the day has been very peaceful. Only my husband gave too much medicine to our son who is allergic and has beginnig of flu. Will not be done again I hope.
In the blipshot there is a runaway Moomin by Tove Jansson. I have this kind of a tea can. My stepmother came for evening tea. And I really have not had time to blip or shoot anything more.
Life. :)
Sigh. :)
Good night all :)
