The Dookits

A rock just outside Peebles.

Years (decades) ago there used to be a diving board set up on it. Well before my time, but my dad remembers and used it. The natural flow of the the river, combined with the health and safety brigade have taken away the fun! You can still see the iron fixings.

When I was but a lad, 20 something years ago we would spend whole summer holidays 'up the river'. Deserted now.
