Smoked eggs anyone?

While waiting for my Thai lemon tea, I saw this vendor on the side of the road. He is selling smoked eggs. I'm assuming they are similar to boiled eggs, I haven't tried them yet.

It's still puzzling to me to see how they do this, stabbing eggs on a skewer...maybe one day I'll know how they do it!
