It's Raining, It's Pouring
At home sick today and beside the fire is the best place to be as it has rained all day. The voice has gone and that's a teachers biggest asset. It's very frustrating when you can't yell speak to that child at the back of the room who is about to spill the dye all over the floor.
While going to the chemist I detoured past Whaka to get a blip photo. The steam rising from the thermal areas around Rotorua seems more noticeable on grey days. This bridge used to be the main entrance to the thermal village which was the iconic Rotorua attraction with hot springs, mud pools, geysers and a Marae. At that time people would gather on the bridge to watch the penny divers, children from the village who jumped into the stream for coins thrown by tourists. Now it is a very quiet place and unless you pay the entrance charge you can't step onto the bridge.
