Looking for the vegetarian option

At tonight's opening of Summerhall's Festival exhibitions. This one is likely to be the most controversial - Hermann Nitsch's "Das Orgien Mysterien Theater". For once, I censored the bits to blip. Some of it is even gorier than my recent finger operation. I was restrained with my choice of thumbnail too.

The Austrian artist creates “performances wherein spectators are encouraged to take leave of their senses and become participants themselves, as the beautiful, young actors, smiling and decked out all in white, butcher animals and handle entrails, blood and semen, eviscerating pigs, lambs and oxen.....creating aesthetic tableaux beautifying the horror of death, before the whole ordeal celebrates life with the eating of the animals at a feast towards the end."

The extra is the artist himself, heading into the ladies toilet. We had a chat while drying our hands. Lovely chap.
