This Year's mob

Rather belatedly this year we have the pedigree Dexter cattle being returned to our neighbouring field.
These are yearlings - last year's calves, recently separated from their mothers and still somewhat bewildered and unhappy - lots of late night mooing loudly.
There are only five individuals presently, with more to come and here are three at the wheeled water tanks from which they are learning to drink.
Many of the locals regard this small herd as 'ours' -to be watched over and fed with stale bread.
The water supply will be replenished from our garden tap, and the batteries and transformer for the electric fence are in our garden - to prevent them from being stolen.
