Goldfinch

While stocktaking at the weekend I noticed a party of Goldfinches flying around and landing in the yard. I saw them again yesterday while down the yard. So today at lunch time I got myself sat on a pack of timber armed with my camera and waited. Within a couple of minutes I was rewarded as a couple of them landed on the fence close to me and then dropped down into the yard to feed. They looked to be Feeding  on Salt  in the soil from bags of rock-salt. In total there was 7 flying around so probably a family party, I have posted a few more shots HERE from a very rewarding 15 minutes sat in the sun.
